Alkaline Peptone Water
Alkaline Peptone Water is a selective enrichment medium for isolating Vibrio species, including V. cholerae and V. parahaemolyticus, from food, water, and clinical samples. Its high pH (8.4–9.0) and peptone content support rapid Vibrio growth while inhibiting other bacteria. Ideal for pre-enrichment before selective plating or molecular analysis.
